What To Expect When Working With Seniors Helping Seniors

In previous posts, our topics have ranged from groundbreaking research on Alzheimer’s Disease and how former CU Coach Bill McCartney is right at the heart of some of the studies going on at Colorado University’s medical research facilities. We’ve also gone back and highlighted some client experiences of their senior in-home care they’ve had with us. We thought you should be able to hear about the kind of services we offer from those who receive them. In today’s post, we are going to be talking about some of the services we offer and questions you may be wanting to ask yourself if you have been considering combining senior independent living while still providing professional home care assistance.

Why We Do What We Do

Our mission at Seniors Helping Seniors is dynamic. We noticed that there is a large demographic of people who find themselves looking for senior care options who can’t find a solution. On the one hand, nursing homes can carry a negative connotation to seniors who aren’t yet ready to cash in their chips, as it were. But on the other hand, we noticed that there aren’t many viable alternatives in regards to home health care to take some of the care-taking responsibilities off of the family member(s). What our home care agency seeks to provide is a happy medium between the two extremes. We aren’t necessarily reinventing the wheel here, just a great option for people in need of a wide range of assisted in-home care while still preserving dignity and independence.

Who We Are

In looking at senior independent living options in the Northern Colorado region, we believe that our senior assisted living options set us apart for one big reason; it isn’t just anyone who is going to your or your loved one’s home. We believe in forming long-lasting relationships with each and every one of our clients and their families. We seek to find staff members and companions for our clients who are not merely seeking a paycheck. We look for caring and dedicated companions who treat their clients as if it was their own mother or father, or even friend. The fact that we employ senior citizens for assisted living care is also significant in preserving our client's sense of autonomy and dignity.

Serving Larimer County, Weld County, and all of the greater front range area in Northern Colorado since 1998, we are proud to be specialists in home health and senior care. We provide flexible scheduling in case you have a daily routine that is unique; we will mold our scheduling to fit your needs. We love to lighten the load on family members who have been acting as a stand-in caregiver for the senior in their life, for two reasons. The first is that it frees up family members to get back to their own life a bit, but the second is even more important. We see relationships between seniors and family members improve once dignity is restored and the relationship becomes less business oriented and more like it used to be: a mother and daughter; a father and son. Let us handle the essential details so you and your loved ones can enjoy this season of life which should be a celebration. Call us today to schedule your free consultation.
